Giving

Giving shows every donation your church has received, connected to the member who gave it where that's known.

Reviewing transactions

Each transaction shows the date, the member (or Guest, if the donor wasn't identified), the category, the amount and currency, and its status. Filter the list by status or category to find what you're looking for.

StatusMeaning
successThe transaction completed.
pendingInitiated but not yet confirmed.
failedDid not complete.

Common categories include tithe, offering, building fund, and missions. Totals are shown per currency, and are never combined across currencies if your organization has changed currency in the past.

If your church has more than one campus, a donor selects which campus their gift is for on the public giving page, and staff with campus-scoped financial access only see their own campus's transactions. See Roles & Access for how that scoping works.

Giving is a read-only record of transactions. There's no manual entry here, transactions arrive automatically from your public giving page once a payment provider is connected (below). A member's own giving history is also visible on their profile.

Connecting a payment provider

To accept online giving, connect your own Paystack or Flutterwave account under Settings → Payments. Ecclora never holds your funds, it connects to your account and records the transaction metadata.

FieldNotes
ProviderPaystack or Flutterwave.
Secret keyVerified live against your provider account before it's saved. Not viewable again after saving.
Public keyOptional, used for checkout widgets.
Webhook secretRequired for Flutterwave.

Ecclora verifies a key against your provider account before saving it, so a typo or an inactive account is caught immediately rather than failing silently later. Once connected, your organization's webhook URL is generated automatically for you to add on your provider's dashboard.
